Cosgrove, Warner And Finch Suspended From AIS

Cricket Australia has revealed that Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Scholars Mark Cosgrove, David Warner and Aaron Finch have been suspended by both CA and AIS as a result of "inappropriate treatment of Centre of Excellence (COE) accommodation facilities."

In a statement released earlier today, Cricket Australia confirmed that the three would be leaving the Centre of Excellence and would be suspended for four weeks, ruling them out of the AIS tour of India which begins on August 10th.

Acting CA CEO Michael Brown commented, "It gives me no pleasure at all to confirm the suspension of three talented young cricketers from the AIS Scholars program at CA’s COE in Brisbane. I’ve spoken to each player and explained why we’ve taken this decision and reiterated our expectations of them when representing Cricket Australia.

"We’ll be taking this opportunity to remind all our scholars of their responsibilities at the COE and I would like to apologise to the management of the accommodation facility in Brisbane for the behaviour of the three players.”
