Chris Wright has signed a three-year contract with Warwickshire. The county had been thwarted in their attempts so far to strengthen for 2012, with Lancashire’s Gary Keedy, Durham’s Liam Plunkett, Northamptonshire’s Jack Brooks and Worcestershire’s Gareth Andrew all opting to stay with their current counties.
Northamptonshire CEO Mark Tagg has resigned his position and will leave the club at the end of the month. His daily commute from Cheltenham is thought to have been a factor in his decision.
Manchester City Council are hosting a civic reception at the Town Hall to honour County Champions Lancashire this afternoon. The players will then visit Buckingham Palace on Thursday for lunch with the Duke of Edinburgh.
Murali Kartik has revealed via Twitter that he will not be signing a new contract with Somerset next season.
