Cricket (And The Sun) Return To Old Trafford

Lancashire Lightning return to Old Trafford this Sunday to take on Warwickshire Bears in the Friends Provident Trophy.

After a rain affected match last weekend, Lancashire are looking for a much improved batting performance and the appearance of sunny weather!

Bowlers Gary Keedy and Tom Smith are both available for selection after recovering from minor injuries, as is Dominic Cork, who returns from a one game suspension. Batsman Stuart Law has a calf injury, putting him in doubt for the game, but is confident of playing against Surrey in the LV County Championship fixture at Old Trafford starting Wednesday.

Sunday’s game starts at 10:45am and tickets can still be purchased in advance (Friday only) at the LCCC Ticket Office or from 9am on Sunday;

Lancashire Cricket Manager Mike Watkinson has named a 13 man squad to face Warwickshire Bears.

This is the Lightning’s second match in this year’s Friends Provident Trophy competition, and after a heavy defeat to Worcestershire last Sunday, the team is determine to get back to winning ways.

Squad announced in alphabetical order with shirt numbers in brackets.
