Shane Warne has officially come out of retirement to turn out for Melbourne in the Big Bash and William Hill make him 10/1 to come out of his international exile and represent Australia in any form of the game.
He is 14/1 to take a wicket with his first ball of the Big Bash and 8/1 to be top wicket taker in the tournament. English cricket fans could well be forgiven for quaking in their boots as he is an outside chance, at 33/1, to play in the next Ashes series.
"Shane Warne has admitted that he feels he is in better shape than he has ever been and it would be folly to rule him out of ever returning to the international scene despite his advancing years," said Hill’s spokesman and cricket betting expert Joe Crilly.
