Victor Chandler have opened a market on who will score most Test runs for England in the calendar year 2012 and make Alastair Cook their 5/2 favourite.

VC spokesperson and cricket betting expert Charlie McCann said: "Ian Bell just headed Cook in 2011 with 950 Test runs to the ODI skipper's 927 but we just prefer the opener next year at 5/2 ahead of Kevin Pietersen who scored 731. Six batsman averaged over 40 with captain Andrew Strauss the only one who had a disappointing; he will be looking to return to his best in 2012 but is 6/1 to lead the run charts."
