England are clear 4/7 favourites with Ladbrokes to win the third test against Pakistan, but question marks remain over the form of opening batsman Alastair Cook.
Cook has rustled up a disappointing 100 runs in seven test innings this season, and needs a score to guarantee an Ashes place. Ladbrokes has the England vice-captain at 6/1 to score a century in the test and at 7/1 to go out for a duck in the first innings. Ladbrokes has Cook at 1/33 to make the Ashes squad at the moment, but this will change quickly if he does not perform in this test.
England's bowling attack has dominated so far this summer, and off-spinner Graham Swann, fresh from career best test figures at Edgbaston, could again be the pick of the bowlers on a wicket which traditionally offers assistance to the spinners. Ladbrokes has him at 3/1 to be England's top bowler in the first innings.
David Williams of Ladbrokes said of the latest cricket odds: "Cook has been fortunate to get this many opportunities and we feel it's make or break time for him. Another failure could sound the death knell for his hopes of travelling Down Under for the Ashes."
