New Zealand have been cut to win the third test according to Ladbrokes.

Following the news that Kevin Pietersen is to miss the match the bookmakers report an upturn in stakes for the home side to defy the cricket betting odds, resulting in their price shortening to 11/2 from 6/1.

England subsequently ease to 8/13 (from 4/7) leaving the draw, the best backed outcome to date, a 9/4 chance.

The defection of Pietersen has also prompted a reshuffle in the top England batsman betting. Alastair Cook heads the market at 3/1 while Ian Bell and Nick Compton are trimmed to 9/2 each.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "England are on the drift following the KP news. We've seen plenty of early money for another draw while many are also keen to take a punt on the home side at a big price."

England have shown some weakness in their batting line-up without Kevin Pietersen, however, their bowling attack is in much better shape with Broad Anderson and Finn all looking at the top of their game.

England will be very happy to hear that Graeme Swann & Tim Bresnan have been passed fit for the first test against New Zealand. As a result England are 1/2 red hot favourites to deliver victory in the first test, with New Zealand 8/1 outsiders. England can be backed at 5/4 to win the series 2-0.
Chris Gayle's 175 not out in the IPL is possibly the greatest ever T20 innings there is ever likely to be. 175 from 66 balls with 17 sixes and, had he not by his own admission "slowed down" in the middle of his innings, it could have been 200! The West Indies has given the cricket world batsmen like Gary Sobers, Brian Lara, Viv Richards and now Chris Gayle joins the greats of West Indian cricket.
