England are 4/9 to win their test series against South Africa after saving the third test in nail-biting fashion.

The tourists, who were one wicket away from defeat, are 3/1 to claim the final match, with the hosts 13/8 to level things.

Graeme Smith’s men are 1/ 2 not to take 20 wickets, whilst England hero Ian Bell is 3/1 to score a century in either innings.

Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: “England yet again demonstrated remarkable resilience and are firm favourites to claim bragging rights.”

Andrew Strauss’s side have shortened into 11/4, from 3/1, to retain the Ashes.

Weinberg added: “The rearguard action certainly bodes well for the future.”
