England are 5/2 to wrap up a series whitewash against the West Indies according to Ladbrokes.

With the win already in the bag it's now 5/2 England are victorious 3-0 in the series as they head into Thursday's Test at Edgbaston as the match favourites, as the Windies face a hard task on their hands chalked up at 14/1.

The excitement of the series has whipped punters up into an in-play betting frenzy, seeing mobile app turnover hit an all time high for cricket, which has prompted the firm into generously offering to refund losing match bets if Jonathan Trott is named man of the match.

Chris Gayle's return to the ODI side in a week's time is sure to put wind in the team's sail and the bookies chalk the batsman up at 6/4 to hit a 50 and 5/1 to score a ton.

Jessica Bridge, cricket betting expert at Ladbrokes said: "England have got this in the bag but we anticipate they'll have a fearful eye on the ODI series next week thanks to Chris Gayle's return."
