The latest cricket odds suggest that England will be up against it when they face India in the first test next week, with William Hill offering 7/2 that England deliver victory.

On his return to the side Kevin Pietersen is the 3/1 favourite to top score with new Captain Alastair Cook next at 10/3. The England bowling attack looks a little depleted and Graeme Swann is the favourite to take the most wickets at 7/4 with Monty Panesar 2/1.

"England will need all their big guns to deliver if they are to stand any chance of victory and the pressure will certainly be on KP," said William Hill cricket betting spokesman Rupert Adams,
