India are the favourites to win the T20 World Cup according to Ladbrokes.
The inaugural winners have been heavily backed ante-post (at 5/1), however following India's loss to Pakistan in the warm-up match the firm have eased the favourites out to 4/1 from 7/2 in the market, with their closest competition coming from the host nation, Sri Lanka, at 9/2.
England however are among the outsiders at 7/1 as they come into the World Cup without their star player Kevin Pietersen, and rivals Australia also find themselves in strange territory as a 13/2 shot to lift the trophy thanks to their tough route to the final.
Suresh Raina is fancied at 6/1 to be India's top runscorer of the tournament, however it's Chris Gayle (7/1) who leads the outright betting.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "India look good at the moment and the conditions will suit them, and that's why punters are backing them to do the business this year. Pietersen single-handedly won England the World Cup last time around but the odds suggest they are going to struggle without him."
