Following England’s defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka, William Hill are offering 1/2 that Andrew Strauss is not captain for the next One Day International. Despite this, it appears likely that Strauss will stay as England test captain, with 8/1 offered that he quits the test captaincy. Hills make Kevin Pietersen the 3/1 favourite to take over the role, with Jonathan Trott 9/2. Current T20 captain, Paul Collingwood is 5/1, as is Ian Bell.

“England’s World Cup performance was not the greatest and it appears that Strauss may step down from the one day captaincy to focus on the longer form of the game,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly on the latest cricket odds.

India are the 6/4 favourites to win the ICC World Cup, with Sri Lanka 13/8, Pakistan 4/1 and New Zealand 6/1.
