Bookmakers Ladbrokes report that ahead of the Ashes beginning tonight in Brisbane, money is coming in for the home side and Australia are proving to be a popular bet.
Darren Lehmann and Michael Clarke's men are expected to start the match as favourites (15/8) with England, who have a poor record at Brisbane at 2/1 with the draw at 6/4 as some bad weather looks set to interfere.
The firm believe this series will break records for in-play cricket betting of matches played in Australia with over 100 markets priced up before each match including specials, runs and wicket lines for each player.
Ladbrokes' cricket betting expert Alex Donohue said: "It's one way traffic for the Aussies for the Test at this stage.
"We've kept the draw on our side, but as far as England are concerned the patriotic punt is yet to materialise."
