It has been a relatively quiet day in the Ashes betting as punters hold off in the hope that the weather forecast will firm up. The draw is the best backed result with Hills offering 6/5 that the final test ends in a draw from an original 11/8. Hills are 4/1 that the first days play is delayed due to the weather and 25/1 that there is no play on Thursday. Hills expect the final test to go the distance and offer 1/3 that there is play on day five of the test.

"We fully expect punters to come piling in over the next 36 hrs but our customers are being very tentative at present, probably due to conflicting weather forecasts," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
