Despite their humiliating defeat against India, England still made it through to the Super Eight stage of the World T20 and William Hill make them 4/5 to qualify for the Semi Final. First, however, Stuart Broad's troops have to take on the West Indies, who are 13/2 to win the tournament and 10/11 to emerge from Thursday’s match with a victory.

After being bowled out for 80 against India, William Hill are offering 33/1 that England are all out for less than 100.

England really struggled against spin in their match against India and spinner Sunil Narine is 5/2 favourite to be top wicket-taker for the West Indies. The only batsman who came out of the India game with any credit was Craig Kieswetter and he is 10/3 favourite to be England’s top run scorer on Thursday.

"England's frailties against spin on the sub-continent were highlighted once again against India and Narine is going to be a very popular choice to take the most wickets for the Windies," said William Hill cricket betting spokesman Joe Crilly.

England are not the favourites they were a few months back with the bookies and it is not without some reason following their somewhat uncertain start to the series against New Zealand. Following England's less than impressive start to the 1st Test against New Zealand, however, we are still favouring a home win this summer. England have shown some weakness in their batting line-up without Kevin Pietersen, however, their bowling attack is in much better shape with Broad Anderson and Finn all looking at the top of their game.
After cruising to victory against New Zealand, William Hill make England 8/1 to go unbeaten in Test match cricket for the remainder of this calendar year. Going into the second test at Headingley, England are 4/7 to win, while New Zealand are 8/1 with the draw 2/1.
England are on the drift in The Ashes cricket betting according to Ladbrokes. Following England's less than impressive start to the 1st Test against New Zealand, the firm are still favouring a home win this summer at 1/2 (from 4/9), with Australia's odds cut to 3/1 (from 7/2).
England will be very happy to hear that Graeme Swann & Tim Bresnan have been passed fit for the first test against New Zealand. As a result England are 1/2 red hot favourites to deliver victory in the first test, with New Zealand 8/1 outsiders. England can be backed at 5/4 to win the series 2-0.
Chris Gayle's 175 not out in the IPL is possibly the greatest ever T20 innings there is ever likely to be. 175 from 66 balls with 17 sixes and, had he not by his own admission "slowed down" in the middle of his innings, it could have been 200! The West Indies has given the cricket world batsmen like Gary Sobers, Brian Lara, Viv Richards and now Chris Gayle joins the greats of West Indian cricket.
