Some stunning Nuwan Kulasekara swing bowling helped set up a first ever win at the Gabba for Sri Lanka, who bowled Australia out for just 74 with Lasith Malinga taking three wickets with his trademark yorkers. Only Mitchell Starc and Xavier Doherty reached double figures.

Starc and Mitchell Johnson did pick up five wickets between them to put Sri Lanka in trouble and what looked like a simple task became a tricky one but helped by dropped catches, the tourists got home with 30 overs to spare to hand Australia a record defeat in terms of balls remaining.
