South Africa were barely tested as they thrashed Zimbabwe by ten wickets, racing to their target with more than seven overs to spare.

Jacques Kallis took four wickets, Morne Morkel two and there was one apiece for Albie Morkel and Dale Steyn, Zimbabwe making a very poor 93 for eight. Richard Levi then raced to 50 in 43 balls and Hashim Amla stroked 32 to ease the Proteas home.

Zimbabe were knocked out of the competition as a result of this defeat and South Africa will play Sri Lanka on Saturday for the right to finish top of the group although both sides are safely through to the next stage.
