Staffordshire cricketer Danielle Wyatt’s call up to the full England squad followed a century for Northern Districts in Sydney.  She was notified of a missed call from Mark Lane, so called him back immediately to be told of the exciting news!

Once back on home soil, Cricket World spoke to Danielle and her coach at Staffordshire Andy Grice to get a better idea of what it means to her and how her cricket has developed over the last few years.

Having played both junior girls, women's, boys and men's cricket too, Danielle also recently had the experience of playing for the Sydney Grade cricket side Northern Districts to add to her cricket education. She learnt a lot and scored a few runs too along the way and feels it was good to play on less responsive wickets to aid the development of her off-spin.
