Chetan Narula is reporting live from Galle for Cricket World TV as we take a look back in India's massive win over Sri Lanka in the first Test.
Shikhar Dhawan and Cheteshwar Pujara set the tone for the India's massive first innings total of 600 runs with their respective knocks of 190 and 153 while Ajinkya Rahane and Hardik Pandya scored fifties as well.
Sri Lanka, who were a player short after Asela Gunaratne left the field with an injury on the opening day could manage only 291 runs but India did not enforce the follow on - the seventh time, India had done so under Virat Kohli leadership points of Chetan.
Nevertheless, Sri Lanka were always behind the game and eventually succumbed to a 304 run defeat and Chetan believes the problems have been compounding for them.
Chetan also believes Dinesh Chandimal, who missed the first game due to pneumonia and Rangana Herath, who got injured while bowling in the second innings to play the second game with the series on the line.
