With the 2013 Ashes series about to get underway, the Cricket World team have made their predictions, which you can see below.

Alastair Symondson (Head of Media)

England to win, but it will be a lot closer than some people are predicting. A whitewash would be nice, but I'm going for 4-0 - weather may deny England the dream result.

Jane Tomkins (Sales Director)

It will be close and I'm going for a repeat of 2005 and 2009 so 2-1 to England again

John Pennington (Editor)

England go into the series as the deserved favourites but they won't have it their own way. At some point in the series, Australia's batting will click and they can always count on their fast bowlers to turn it on. I can see Australia winning a Test and I doubt we will get through the summer without a draw or even two so for me, England to win by at least two Tests.

Daniel Grummitt (English and international cricket correspondent)

I certainly think it will be a lot closer than people are predicting, with two good, but definitely nowhere near great, Test sides doing battle. Predict England to win 2-1.

Chetan Narula (Indian cricket correspondent)

England are too strong. I can't see Australia winning more than one Test, but I am ready to be surprised. 3-1 England.

Andrew Wood (New media)

I'm going for 3-0 England. Looking forward to a good series and after picking out the West Indies as a surprise pick for the Women's World Cup, I hope I'm close again.

Daniel Atkinson (Audio/Video)

A hot summer and a great series to end with England winning 3-2.

Peter Steward (Video/Graphics)

I'm going to go for a convincing England win - 3-0.

What do you think? Will any of us get it right? Leave us your own predictions by leaving us a comment below. Does anybody think Australia can upset the odds?
