Australian batsman Cameron White has been named as the Cricket World® Player Of The Week after making an excellent start to the One-Day International series against Pakistan.
In the opening match in Brisbane, he helped Australia win by five wickets, his innings of 105 in 88 balls seeing them past a tricky target of 275 and the Victorian entertained the crowd by hitting eight fours and four sixes on his way to a second ODI century.
Two days later, White was in the runs again, this time scoring 55 in 58 balls as Australia posted 267 for six in a game they would go on to win by 140 runs. His innings included four fours and one six and while he was excelling for Australia, Victoria were winning the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash for a fourth time.
Other contenders for the weekly award included White's team-mate Clint McKay, Bangladeshi Mahmudullah and Afghanistan's Dawlat Ahmadzai.
