Zimbabwean all-rounder Elton Chigumbura has been named as the Cricket World® Player Of The Week after starring with bat and ball in all four of his side's One Day Internationals against Kenya.
In the first two matches in Mombasa, Chigumbura smashed 79 in 39 balls and 68 in 29 balls before also picking up three wickets in the two games as Zimbabwe won both comfortably.
As the series moved on to Nairobi, he scored a crucial 43 to help Zimbabwe overcome the loss of early wickets to win the third match and in the fourth game one day later, he scored 36 and took four for 28 to help his side into a 4-0 lead.
Other contenders for this week's award included Lendl Simmons, who smashed a double-century against an England XI in St. Kitts, South African batsman Hashim Amla and Indian bowler Ishant Sharma.
