England's Irish-born batsman Eoin Morgan has been named as the Cricket World® Player Of The Week after his batting helped England complete a clean sweep in their One-Day International series over Bangladesh.
Morgan became the first man to score ODI centuries for two different teams when he hit an unbeaten 110 in 104 balls to guide England home to a tense two-wicket victory in the second match in Mirpur, an innings that prevented the home side taking their first ever win over England.
In game three, Morgan chipped in with a swift 36 in 29 balls as England posted 284 for five on their way to a 45-run win that sealed the 3-0 series scoreline.
Morgan has also been handed an ECB Increment contract during the last seven days.
Other contenders for the weekly award included Australia's Mitchell Johnson and Mike Hussey, New Zealand's Ross Taylor, West Indians Chris Gayle and Narsingh Deonarine, Zimbabwe's Vusi Sibanda and Ray Price.
