England Women's wicket-keeper and opening batter Sarah Taylor has been named as the Cricket World® Player Of The Week after her excellent performances helped her side open up a 4-0 lead over Australia in their One-Day International series.
Taylor hit 68 as England cruised to victory by nine wickets in the opening match at Chelmsford before playing an even better innings one day later at the same venue. She scored 120, her third One-Day International century, to propel England to a convincing 55-run win.
Her glovework has been assured throughout the series and although she has not scaled the same heights in the last two matches as she did in the series openers, those two performances were enough to earn her the weekly award.
Other contenders included India's Mahendra Singh Dhoni and West Indian Ravi Rampaul.
