Cricket World® Player Of The Week - Steve Harmison

England fast bowler Steve Harmison has been named as the Cricket World® Player Of The Week after making an impressive international comeback in the fourth and final Test against South Africa at The Brit Oval. Harmison bowled with pace and hostility and by taking two wickets in two balls on day one, helped precipitate England bowling out South Africa for 194. England went on to secure a priceless first innings lead and Harmison picked up two more wickets in the second innings as England took a six-wicket win. Harmison was left out of the England team after the first Test in New Zealand and went back to county cricket with Durham, where he proved his form and earnt a recall, taking his place in Kevin Pietersen's first team as Test captain. Other contenders for this week's award included record-breaking Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Mendis, Pietersen, and Kumar Sangakkara.
