In time for the Cricket World Cup final on 2nd April, Cricket World has launched its own free iPhone app which allows users wherever they are to keep up with the latest action, news, TV reports and a whole lot more.
Some 12 percent of visitors to www.cricketworld.com during the World Cup have been accessing the site through a mobile device with almost half of those using an iPhone.
The iPhone app, developed by AdzApps, currently includes sections for live scores, latest news, Cricket World® TV, Twitter and Facebook, enabling you to not only keep up with the latest news, but interact with the team and other fans.
Launching the application, Cricket World Head Of Media Alastair Symondson said:
"Cricketworld.com has just rolled out its most comprehensive Cricket World Cup coverage to date. Quickly following on from the launch of our new website and mobile site - m.cricketworld.com, we have now launched our new iPhone app.
"This is another step in Cricketworld.com's evolution, with cricket fans around the world now being able to access exclusive videos, news and live scores on their iPhone and iPad media platforms.
"During the Cricket World Cup, nearly 10% of our users accessed news, views and exclusive video content via their mobile phone networks and apps - this way of accessing cricket information is only going to increase."

Non-iPhone users can access the mobile version of the website by pointing their mobile device to http://m.cricketworld.com and development of a Cricket World Android app is currently in progress.
