As India and South Africa face each other at The Oval on Sunday in what will be a virtual quarter-final, Chetan Narula previews us the encounter exclusively for Cricket World TV.
India's defeat to Sri Lanka and South Africa's defeat to Pakistan in their previous games meant Group B opened wide with all four teams in the hunt to make it to the semi-finals.
The winner between India and South Africa are likely to face Bangladesh in the semi-final - in the case of a tie or a no result, then Virat Kohli's men go through because of their superior net-run-rate while the winner between Sri Lanka and Pakistan to be played on Monday will face England in the other semi-final.
Chetan believes India need to solve their bowling conundrum, if they are to beat the number one ranked ODI team. There might be an option of drafting Ravichandran Ashwin in the line-up for one of the seamer or there is also a possibility of Mohammad Shami coming into the XI.
For South Africa, AB de Villiers is a doubtful starter because of an injury concern and in case he misses out, Faf du Plessis will be leading the team on Sunday.
