As the third and final Test resulted in yet another huge win for India, Chetan Narula provides Cricket World TV a recap on the Pallekle encounter and what is in store as we head to the limited overs series.
Chetan emphasised on the importance of the fluent 108-run knock from Hardik Pandya, who in the process recorded the second fastest century by an Indian player on overseas soil behind Virender Sehwag. His knock proved crucial as India lifted themselves to 487 in the first innings after being 339 for seven.
In response, Sri Lanka could manage just 135 and 181 in both the innings and Chetan believes the series will have a demoralising effect on the home side, who hardly posed a challenge to the number one ranked Indian team.
However, Chetan also feels the limited overs series starting from Sunday in Dambulla, might see Sri Lanka competing better as compared to the longer format.
