Chetan Narula is reporting from Edgbaston for Cricket World TV as he gives a summary of last week's ICC Champions Trophy matches along with a preview on the two semi-finals lined up between England and Pakistan followed by India and Bangladesh.
England have been the only unbeaten team till now in the tournament as they topped Group A with Bangladesh being the second team in the poo to make it to the top four after beating New Zealand.
The Group B had saw two virtual quarter-finals in the last round with India outplaying South Africa to top the pool while the 'unpredictable' Pakistan edged out Sri Lanka in a close chase. The results also meant Pakistan will take on England in the semi-final 1 while India and Bangladesh lock horns with each other in semi-final 2.
Chetan believes a shortened game will be the only chance for Pakistan against an in-form England side, who bat very deep and playing in their own backyard.
Citing an improved batting performance from Bangladesh this tournament with the bat and the way, Indian bowlers struggled against an inexperienced Sri Lanka line-up in defending 322, will make the semi-final 2 an interesting one according to Chetan.
