West Indies 75-3 v India
Third Test, Dominica, day one
The rain put a dampener on Dominica's opening day as a Test venue as the West Indies closed on 75 for three in the third and final match against India.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul marked his record 133rd Test appearances by scoring an unbeaten 17 before the rain arrived to bring about an early close.
He becomes West Indies most capped player, overtaking the record of Courtney Walsh (132) having passed Brian Lara's record of 131 in the previous match in Barbados, which was drawn.
For this match, the West Indies handed debuts to young batsmen Kirk Edwards and Kieran Powell, the latter opening the batting alongside Adrian Barath and the former batting at number three.
Barath was bowled by Ishant Sharma for 12, Powell made three before he was caught by VVS Laxman off Praveen Kumar and Edwards was caught by Mahendra Singh Dhoni off Sharma for six.
That left the home side on 35 for three but Darren Bravo, who made 22 not out, combined with Chanderpaul to add 40 runs for the fourth wicket before the weather closed in.
India lead the series 1-0 after a 63-run win in the opening match in Jamaica.
