David Hussey Called Up As Cover For Michael Clarke

Victoria batsman David Hussey has been added to Australia's Commonwealth Bank Series squad and could make his One Day International debut against India in Adelaide.

Michael Clarke is a doubt for the match after he suffered bruised ribs courtesy of a Lasith Malinga delivery in Australia's 63-run win over Sri Lanka in Perth on February 16th.

Hussey, elder brother of long-time squad member Michael, made his international debut in the Twenty20 International between the two sides, taking a catch and a wicket in Melbourne.

He wasn't required to bat as Australia sealed a nine-wicket win, but he has scored 3,901 One Day runs for Victoria, Nottinghamshire and Australia A, with whom he toured Pakistan last year.

Australia lead the tri-series, which also includes India and if Hussey is selected alongside his elder brother, they would become the first brothers to play for Australia in ODIs since the Waugh twins.

Twin sisters Kate and Alex Blackwell are currently in action for Australia's Women side in their Ashes Test against England in Bowral.
