Dawson Signs Two-Year Deal With Gloucestershire

Former England, Yorkshire and Northamptonshire leg-spinner Richard Dawson has signed a two-year contract with Gloucestershire.

Dawson, capped seven times for his country, has played for Gloucestershire in the NatWest Pro40 Division Two after being released by Northamptonshire last year after making a Gloucestershire debut in the LV County Championship match against Glamorgan.

"I am really excited about the following 2 seasons at Gloucestershire," Dawson said. "I am looking forward to working with such a strong squad," he added.

GCCC Team Mentor, Jack Russell said: "The players and support staff are absolutely delighted that Richard has joined us full time. Not only is he a high quality cricketer, but is a quality person who fits the required attitude to help take this team forward."
