Indians 333-4 (Dhawan 60) v Leicestershire
Tour game, Grace Road, day two

No play was possible on day two of India's three-day tour game against Leicesteshire at Grace Road due to rain.

India instead trained indoors following heavy rain overnight and persistent drizzle during the day left no chance of any play.

India closed day one of the first of two tour matches on 333 for four.

Shikhar Dhawan (60), Cheteshwar Pujara (57) and Gautam Gambhir (54) all made half-centuries although Dhawan was struck on the arm and retired hurt.

The left-hander was fit enough to bat indoors, however, suggesting his injury may not be as serious as first feared.

Unfortunately for both sides, although it is forecast to be dry overnight, the rain is expected to return tomorrow morning.

In what time will then remain available, India can be expected to declare their innings and give their bowlers a run out under cloudy skies.

The first of five Tests between England and India begins on 9th July at Trent Bridge.
