The Delhi Daredevils concluded their Champions League campaign with a 30-run win over the Cape Cobras in a low-scoring encounter at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

Owais Shah top scored wiith 39 not out as the Daredevils scored 114 for six before they bowled out the Cobras for just 84, Dirk Nannes taking three for 19.

Shah hit two fours and a six as he, along with Dinesh Karthik (23) and Manoj Tiwary (19) helped Delhi recover from losing openers Tillakaratne Dilshan (1) and Gautam Gambhir (0) to the eighth and tenth balls of the match bowled by Rory Kleinveldt.

Justin Ontong later took two for eight in one over but the Daredevils still managed to get enough runs on the board.

The Cobras, who had won the toss and opted to field first, were in trouble from ball two, when Herschelle Gibbs was bowled by Dilshan for a duck and the wickets kept tumbling until their innings was over in just 18.3 overs.

Only three batsmen, Henry Davids (22), JP Duminy (14) and Vernon Philander (12) managed to reach double figures as left-armer Nannes tore through the South African line-up, aided by Dilshan, Amit Mishra and Yogesh Nagar, who all picked up two wickets apiece.

The Cobras will now face Trinidad & Tobago in the second semi-final in Hyderabad on 22nd October while New South Wales meet Victoria in an all-Australian clash in Delhi on 21st October.
