Derwent Football Club’s junior teams are looking the part in 2010 having been boosted by Derbyshire County Cricket Club sponsorship.

The Cricket Club have provided branded jackets for the under 9’s, under 10’s under 11’s and under 16’s teams as well as donating a selection of equipment to all of the junior teams.

Derwent’s teams play their home matches on the racecourse adjacent to the County Ground and Chief Executive Keith Loring is delighted to have helped them look the part.

“We appreciate how tight the finances can be within junior football teams and we were very pleased to help Derwent Football Club with some of their outgoings,” he said.

“Having a uniformed training jacket for all the players to wear has allowed the juniors to look like a team from the moment they arrive at matches.

“We are proud to display our badge on their jackets and we wish all of their juniors every enjoyment in their football.”

Derwent Football Club Chairman Richard Astle said:  “On behalf of the players and committee of Derwent FC I would like to thank Derbyshire County Cricket Club for their generous donation.

“The players look really smart in their new jackets and it helps us to portray a professional image for our club.  I look forward to developing our partnership with the Cricket Club in the future.”
