Derbyshire Falcons entertain Northamptonshire Steelbacks in the penultimate match of the Friends Provident t20 tomorrow aiming to take a giant step towards the quarter-finals.
Play begins at 7pm at the County Ground as the Derbyshire Festival of Cricket – Celebrating 140 Years (sponsored by Orchid IT) continues.
A host of additional entertainment will be available at the ground - but the main attraction will undoubtedly be Greg Smith and his side targeting qualification for the last eight for the first time since 2005.
Northamptonshire’s victory over Lancashire last night took them to within one point of the Falcons who currently occupy the all important fourth position.
Derbyshire Falcons versus Northamptonshire Steelbacks is the second of five matches in seven days during the Derbyshire Festival of Cricket – Celebrating 140 Years (sponsored by Orchid IT).
The action continues on Sunday afternoon with the Friends Provident t20 visit of Yorkshire Carnegie, 2.30pm start, followed by a Clydesdale Bank 40 encounter against Gloucestershire on Tuesday, 20th July, 4.40pm start.
The festival then concludes with day one of the LV = County Championship match against Worcestershire, a day on which members of the club will be entitled to bring an unlimited number of guests to the game free of charge simply by showing their membership card.

Tickets are available on the day of the game priced at £15 adults, £8 under 16’s.
Juniors aged 0-12 on 1st January 2010 can become a member of the Club for FREE, entitling them to FREE entry at all home cricket throughout the 2010 campaign.
