India v Australia
Third Test, Mohali, day one
The opening day's play in the third Test between India and Australia was abandoned due to persistent rain at the Punjab Cricket Association Ground in Mohali.
Play will start 30 minutes earlier than scheduled on the remaining four hours to make up some of the lost time.
No toss was made but Australia named a side including both Steven Smith and Brad Haddin, having a limited pool of players to choose from after four players were suspended for a breach of discipline. Nathan Lyon was recalled as Glenn Maxwell missed out.
Matthew Wade failed to prove his fitness in time for the match, leading to Haddin's recall while India made one change, handing opener Shikhar Dhawan his Test debut in place of Virender Sehwag.
India lead the series 2-0 after victories in Chennai and Hyderabad.
