Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been suspended from the next Commonwealth Bank Series One-Day International after his side were found guilty of bowling their overs too slowly during their 110-run defeat to Australia in Brisbane.
As it was India's second minor over-rate offence under Dhoni's captaincy in the last 12 months, Dhoni was given a one-match ban as well as a fine of 40 percent of his match fee.
As India were two overs short of their target, the players were fined 20 percent with Dhoni's fine automatically doubled.
Dhoni pleaded guilty to the charges laid against him and his team by on-field umpires Steve Davis and Billy Bowden, third umpire Bruce Oxenford and fourth umpire Paul Reiffel.
He will miss his side's important clash with Sri Lanka in Brisbane on Tuesday (21st February) in Brisbane.
