Dinda Retained As Yadav Ruled Out Of Third Test
Indian quick bowler Umesh Yadav has been ruled out of the third Test against England, which begins on 5th December at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Yadav also missed the second Test and India have retained Ashok Dinda in an otherwise unchanged squad for the third game, for which bet365 make India 5/4 favourites, with England 11/4 and the draw 7/4.
Dinda had been called up as cover for Yadav ahead of the Mumbai Test, which England won by 10 wickets, before India opted for three spinners to accompany Zaheer Khan.
Dinda has yet to feature in a Test match but has played his entire domestic cricket career for Bengal, who play their home matches in Kolkata.
India are bidding to bounce back from their 10-wicket defeat in Mumbai which left the series balanced at 1-1 with two matches to play.
India Test squad: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ashok Dinda, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Virat Kohli, Pragyan Ojha, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Virender Sehwag, Ishant Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar, Murali Vijay, Yuvraj Singh
