Du Plessis Set For Lancashire Debut In Durham

Cricket Manager Mike Watkinson has named the Lancashire side to play Durham University at the Racecourse.

The first day was abandoned after overnight rain left the course sodden and unfit to play.

Mal Loye will deputise as skipper with Captain Stuart Law rested after having a cortisone injection in his left wrist. This strong Lancashire outfit includes bowler Kyle Hogg returning from injury (broken finger), and James Anderson who is looking to secure a place in the England Test side to face New Zealand.

Having been given clearance by the ECB, Francois Du Plessis will make his first appearance for the club after signing a 6-month contract under the Kolpak ruling.
