South Africa 271-6 (du Plessis 121) beat
Zimbabwe 208 (Taylor 79) by 63 runs
One-Day International tri-series, Harare
Faf du Plessis scored his third ODI century in four matches to put South Africa on course for a 63-run win over Zimbabwe that confirms their place in Saturday's tri-series final against Australia.
Du Plessis hit 121 in 140 balls as South Africa posted a score of 271 for six and they dismissed Zimbabwe for 208 to run out comfortable victors.
They will now face Australia in the final after Zimbabwe's slim hopes of progressing were ended.
Rilee Rossouw (36) and JP Duminy (51) also added useful runs for South Africa, who had slipped to 26 for two early on.
However, with du Plessis in fine form, cracking five fours and four sixes in 140 balls, Zimbabwe couldn't build on their early success.
In reply, Brendan Taylor top scored with 79 in 96 balls but aside from Sikandar Raza's 29 and Hamilton Masakadza's 26, they struggled.
Duminy completed a fine all-round game with figures of three for 35 as Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel, Wayne Parnell, Aaron Phangiso and Rossouw all took a wicket apiece.
