Leicester based synthetic sports surfacing company Dura-Sport has seen sales of their ECB Approved DSi-pro cricket system take off at a rapid pace.
The synthetic pitch system, available to cricket clubs, schools, colleges and universities for either match play or practice, only received approval by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in December of 2012, yet Dura-Sport has just installed their 25th non-turf cricket project of the year and the company hope to have completed further projects by the end of the month if the weather stays on their side.
Director Richard Key said: "We've been installing artificial cricket pitches on a contract basis for more than 18 years, so both the industry and clients are aware of our skills and our high levels of workmanship. Now we've developed and launched our own ECB Approved pitch system and range of products we are really starting to make a name for ourselves in our own right. Clients know that they can trust our service, workmanship and products to provide an excellent totally in house job.
"The response we've received within our own County has been fantastic. The practice facility project at Loughborough University was completed this month and ECB Approved DSi-pro cricket system match pitches can now be found at Narborough CC, Kibworth CC, Countesthorpe CC and Fullhurst School.
"But it doesn’t stop there. We have just finished installing five ECB Approved DSi-pro cricket pitches in Edinburgh, twin bay practice facilities at both Harrogate and Knowle & Dorridge CC and have projects to complete in Cambridge, Essex, Cornwall, Newcastle, Huddersfield, South Wales and Manchester before the end of the month. We couldn’t have asked for a better start."
