Durham CCC Friendly Results

At the Riverside Durham A beat Durham UCCE by 6 wickets after Mark Stoneman stayed at the crease for the entire Durham A innings, finishing on 126*. Captain Paul Wiseman was the other scorer of note adding 47* to their final total of 258-4. Luke Evans was the bowler of the day taking 2-37.

At Old Trafford Durham narrowly lost to Lancashire in the first of two one day friendlies. Lancashire posted a score of 224-8, with Mitchell Claydon (3-53) and Ottis Gibson (2-27) taking five wickets between them. Durham were all out for 203.

Durham responded with a solid innings from Phil Mustard (63) and a half century from Captain Dale Benkenstein. Gordon Muchall reached 26 before being bowled by Simon Marshall.

Both Durham teams will play a second match at their respective locations today (12 April).

On Friday (13 April) Durham will take on a visiting Yorkshire side at the Riverside in a 50 over match. Play will begin at 10.30am. Admission is free. The provisional squad is the same as the team that played at Lancashire earlier this week, with the addition of fast bowler Mark Davies.
