Head coach Geoff Cook added: "We really benefitted from having the extra power in the batting line up last season with Ross Taylor and Albie Morkel so we’re pleased to be able to add David to our current line up to strengthen the middle order. David played alongside our t20 captain Dale Benkenstein in 2010 over in SA and Dale was really impressed by his talent, we’re delighted to have him on board."
