Dwayne Smith Extends Contract At Sussex

Dwayne Smith is to extend his stay at Sussex, signing a two and a half-year deal to play for the county as a Kolpak player after being signed earlier this year in time for the Twenty20 Cup.

Sussex Professional Cricket Manager Mark Robinson said, "We are delighted to have Dwayne on board as he has fitted into the dressing room really well over the last couple of weeks. Dwayne is the type of cricketer you would pay to come and see as he hits a long ball and bowls well. He is also one of the best fielders in the world. I’m sure the Sussex public will have a lot of pleasure watching his exploits in the next couple of years."

The county also revealed that while this season Smith will feature mainly in One Day cricket, next year he will feature in all forms of the game.

Sussex are reigning double County Champions.
