Dynamos Band Beats A Happy Tune

Durham County Cricket Club’s Championship section brass band have been given the ultimate nod after being granted permission to entertain the crowds at the Friends Provident Trophy Final at Lord’s on Saturday (18 August).

Durham Dynamos take on Hampshire Hawks in the first final of the Clubs history this weekend and The Tavistock Chester le Street Riverside Band, who rehearse at the Club’s Riverside ground and who performed at this year’s Northern Proms, are making the trip to support the team on one of the most important days of the Club’s history.

Durham CCC President and Band Chairman, Tom Moffat MBE, said, “This is a momentous day in the Club’s history and I’m delighted that the band will have the opportunity to support the team. It will be a big day for both groups as this will be the biggest crowd the Durham side and the band will have played in front of. There will be plenty of supporters to cheer us along and we are looking forward to what will be a great day.”
