ECB Announce Chairmen For Regional Cricket Disability Development Forums

ECB has appointed Jeff Levick, Martyn Dobson, Paul Millman and Mahesh Patel as voluntary Chairmen for the newly created four Regional Disability Cricket Development Forums.

The regional disability cricket development forums will provide strategic direction and relevant expertise to support County Cricket Boards in the delivery of their disability development plans to ensure the growth, excellence and sustainability of disability cricket.

Jeff Levick has been appointed as Chairman for the South and West Forum. During his 50 year involvement in cricket as a player, coach, umpire and administrator Jeff has been instrumental in developing disability cricket in Hampshire.

Martyn Dobson will chair the Midlands Disability Forum and brings a wealth of knowledge from his role as Community Development Officer at Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.

The London and East Forum will be chaired by Paul Millman who from 1999 to 2009 held the role of Chief Executive of Kent County Cricket where he was responsible for both the First Class and recreational game.

Mahesh Patel has worked for 13 years at Sporting Equals and the English Federation of Disability Sport and will be taking the role of Chairman for the North Disability Forum. 

The appointed chairmen will drive the development of a network of expertise that can support of the County Cricket Boards in their regions. In their voluntary roles the Chairmen will work closely with both National Disability Cricket Managers and the Regional Development Managers to support the delivery of the national strategy and objectives in their region.
 
In addition to these appointments it is envisaged that a similarposition will becreated in Wales following future discussions between the newly formed Cricket Wales and The Federation of Disability Sport Wales.
