The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given approval for the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) to replace Adrian Barath and Carlton Baugh with Kirk Edwards and Devon Thomas ahead of their opening Cricket World Cup game.

Both Barath and Baugh have been ruled out of the tournament with hamstring injuries and the new arrivals will join up with their team-mates on Monday 21st February.

Barbadian batsman Edwards, 26, has yet to make his international debut while Thomas, 21, has played two One-Day Internationals for the West Indies.

The West Indies begin their campaign against South Africa on 24th February in Delhi, before playing the Netherlands, Bangladesh, Ireland, England and India.

Ten players have now been replaced in competing teams' 15-man World Cup squads.
