England Lions v India
England Lions take on India in a three-day tourist match at The Ford County Ground, starting on Friday (July 13).
Andrew Strauss leads the Lions out at Chelmsford with a whole host of the country’s top young talent at his disposal.
Essex’s Ravinder Bopara gets an opportunity to impress the selectors ahead of England’s Test and ODI series against the tourists.
This match represents India’s last chance for match practice ahead of the first Test so a number of their star names will be looking to tune up before moving on to Lord’s.
India will select from a 16-man squad featuring batting legends such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly along with a bowling attack containing the likes of Anil Kumble and Zaheer Khan.
Tickets will be available to purchase on the gate (£20 adults, £10 juniors). Gates open at 9.30am with play due to get underway at 11.00am on each day (scheduled close at 6.00pm).

Glass is prohibited and will be confiscated at the entrance. 4 cans or 75 cl of wine is permitted per spectator. Meteor Way car park will be open to members on each day and there will be limited members’ parking on ground. A special commemorative brochure has been produced for this match.
