England Women 144 (Marsh 43, Elliott 3-17) beat
Australia Women 131-6 (Poulton 32) by 13 runs
Fourth Twenty20 International, Canberra
England Women went 4-0 up in their five-match Twenty20 International series against Australia after a 13-run win in the fourth match in Canberra.
After they were bowled out for 144 batting first, they hit back to restrict Australia to 131 for six to claim their fourth straight victory and stay on course for a series clean sweep.
Laura Marsh top scored for England with 43 in 28 balls at the top of the order, hitting five fours to power England to a good total. Lydia Greenway continued her excellent form with 28 in 22 deliveries but Australia bowled well to dismiss England with a ball remaining as Sarah Elliott (3-17) and Shelley Nitschke (3-19) shared six wickets.
In reply, Leah Poulton hit 32 in 24 balls but she was the only player who managed to find much fluency, England's bowlers keeping the scoring rate in check.
Despite 25 from Rachael Haynes and 22 from Nitschke, Australia closed well short; England spinner Holly Colvin emerging with figures of two for 25 as Danielle Hazell and Danielle Wyatt took a wicket apiece.
